Afterthought is considered harmful. You can even notice this in conversation when dealing with humans. This video is not saying “do not use if” it is saying do not use else, or to use asserted types when possible; “garbage in garbage out”, and keep in mind the flow of “time” when writing code while keeping in mind the flow of time. Or rather avoiding requiring to keep in mind the flow of time in how the code flows.
